No — anyone can refer, including you. A GP referral is never required for physiotherapy itself, though we're happy to work in with your GP.

Initial and ongoing sessions run for 1 hour.

Comfortable clothes, closed-in shoes, and your medication list for the first visit.

Yes — we encourage it. Progress is faster when the people around you know the program.

Yes — we regularly see people in retirement villages and independent living units. For residential aged care facilities, contact us to discuss.

Funding & fees

Physiotherapy is a clinical support — no co-contribution under current rules; the cost comes from your budget through your registered provider, and our travel is included.

Yes, if your plan is self-managed or plan-managed and you're aged 18–64.

Not at this stage — your support coordinator can help you find a registered provider.

We ask for 2 business days' notice. Terms are in your service agreement, consistent with Support at Home and NDIS rules.

Treatment

A conversation about your history and goals, a movement and balance assessment with recognised outcome measures, and a clear starting plan — you'll know what we found and what we recommend before we leave.

It depends on your assessment, your goals and how you progress — we review against measured outcomes rather than locking in open-ended therapy, and we'll always tell you honestly what we think.

Yes — every 12 weeks for Support at Home providers, prior to plan reviews (and on request) for NDIS participants, and to your GP or family as agreed.

Referrals are acknowledged within 1 business day; first visit timing depends on current capacity, so ask when you refer.

Assessment summaries after first visits, 12-weekly progress reports for Support at Home, pre-plan-review reports for NDIS, and session notes on request.

Yes — we work under subcontracting agreements with home care providers and keep a current compliance file available for your records.
